Story Blog #4
One evening, my dog, Smokey, ran away from home. Normally, if he gets out of the house, Smokey will eventually just come back shortly. After an hour of Smokey not returning, I decide to go looking for him. I grab Smokey's lease, a flashlight and magnifying glass, lock up my house and begin my journey. The first place I decide to check is the park were I normally walk him. In the park, I check the tree we normally we sit under, but unfortunately he's not there. I then go to the playground. When I arrive, I find a young boy hanging from the monkey bars. I ask him if he had seen my small black lab, but he had not. Although he hadn't seen Smokey, he agrees to help me look for him. After no luck at the playground, we venture towards the fountain. As we get closer to the fountain, I notice wet paw prints on the pavement. I pull out my magnifying glass and observe the prints and conclude that they belong to Smokey. We continue to follow the prints toward the woods. We decide to split up and star to call out Smokey's name. After five minutes of searching, the boy points and yells "Look!" There Smokey is playing with a ball he had found while he escape. I put Smokey on his lease, thank the boy by shaking his hand, and return home.
